Staff Ping ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Zubair Mohsin. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Shopify application and website.

Information We Collect

When you install and use Staff Ping, we collect:

• Shopify store information: Store name, domain, and store owner email address
• Order data: Order details necessary to send notifications (order number, total, destination, payment method)
• Team member phone numbers: Phone numbers you add for receiving WhatsApp notifications
• Waitlist submissions: Email address, store URL, role, and team size when you join our waitlist

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Send WhatsApp notifications to your designated team members when orders match your configured rules
• Operate and improve the Staff Ping application
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
• Process waitlist signups and notify you about early access

WhatsApp Messaging

Staff Ping uses the WhatsApp Business Cloud API to send notifications. Messages are sent only to phone numbers that have been verified through our one-time password (OTP) process. We use WhatsApp-approved message templates and comply with WhatsApp Business policies. We do not send marketing messages or spam.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• WhatsApp/Meta: Phone numbers and message content for delivering notifications
• Shopify: As required for app functionality through Shopify APIs
• Service providers: Hosting and infrastructure providers who help us operate the service

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you use Staff Ping. Order data used for notifications is processed in real-time and not stored long-term. When you uninstall the app, we delete your store data and team member information within 30 days.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. All data transmission is encrypted using TLS. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Remove team member phone numbers at any time through the app
• Uninstall the app to stop all data processing

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
